More casual styling options for the dining room space is a growing and welcomed trend. And one of the benefits of this trend is the ability to incorporate a variety of seating formats into the design. The most flexible and casual of these is the use of a dining bench. Plank Road includes this option with the Rankin Bench. Use it as an everyday seat at the table, as an entryway bench, or even in front of a bed.
All spills should be wiped as soon as possible, including food or beverage residue. We recommend a microfiber cloth dampened with one tablespoon of distilled vinegar to one quart of distilled water. Wipe in direction of the grain. Use clean, soft cloth to dry. Avoid the use of oily polishes or waxes.
To prevent color change, avoid direct sunlight for long periods of time or rotate often for even exposure. To avoid cracking, do not expose to extreme humidity or temperature. Do not place extremely hot or cold drinks directly on the finish. Avoid the use of rubber, vinyl and plastics such as placemats and lamp pads, which may deteriorate finish. We recommend using cloth-backed items for these purposes.
